Ramadan is a time for giving, and at New Incentives–All Babies Are Equal, we embrace this spirit by sharing with those who make immunization efforts possible. This week, we completed the distribution of Ramadan gifts to the governments and staff of State Primary Health Care Development Agencies (SPHCDAs) across the 11 states where we operate.
This year, we distributed 12 bags of rice, 30 bags of sugar, 10 cartons of milk, and 93 packages of Lipton tea across the states. In response, state agencies expressed their gratitude, reaffirming their support for continued collaboration in ensuring every child receives life-saving vaccines.
Bauchi State
The distribution concluded in Bauchi State, where Executive Chairman Dr. Rilwanu Muhammad and PM SERICC Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi received the package from State Field Manager Ibrahim Kabiru at the state Emergency Operations Center. Dr. Muhammad acknowledged New Incentives' continued support.
“This is not the first time we’ve received assistance. Over the years, the organization has spent over ₦3 billion to help caregivers bring their infants for immunization. Even the Governor is pleased with this effort. As a result, Penta vaccine coverage has increased.” - Dr. Rilwanu Muhammad, Executive Chairman of Bauchi SPHCDB
Katsina State
This year’s distribution began at the Katsina State Primary Health Care Development Agency, where State Cold Chain Officer (SCCO) Muhammad Ibrahim received the items on behalf of the Executive Secretary, who was away on official duties. Speaking on behalf of the agency, Muhammad expressed gratitude for the gesture and emphasized its positive impact on our mutual collaboration.
“This initiative strengthens our partnership and motivates us to do even more… In 2024, only staff within the State Primary Health Care Development Agency benefited, but this year, at least four additional officers have been included, including those at state level.” - Muhammad Ibrahim, State Cold Chain Officer of Katsina SPHCDA
Kano State
In Kano State, Mukhtar Rabiu Abubakar, Deputy Program Manager of the State Emergency Routine Immunization Coordination Center (SERICC), warmly welcomed our team, led by State Field Manager Abdulaziz Abdullahi. While receiving the food items on behalf of the Director General, Mukhtar expressed his appreciation, praying for Allah’s blessings on the All Babies program. “New Incentives should know that many people will benefit from this initiative,” he said.
“Charity brings protection and blessings, and we pray that Allah rewards and safeguards them for their generosity. As far as I can recall, no one has ever thought of doing this except New Incentives.” - Mukhtar Rabiu Abubakar, Deputy Program Manager of Kano SERICC
Gombe State
Dr. Mustapha Musa, Director for Disease Control and Immunization at Gombe SPHCDA, received the donation from Stakeholder Relations Manager Theophilus Songo, on behalf of the Executive Secretary. He expressed deep appreciation for New Incentives’ ongoing support, emphasizing its impact beyond routine immunization.
“New Incentives' commitment goes beyond protecting children; it strengthens immunization efforts and values stakeholders… Their consistent care for partners reflects a dedication to strengthening health systems and building lasting partnerships for community well-being.” - Dr. Mustapha Musa, Director for Disease Control and Immunization of Gombe SPHCDA
Across the remaining seven states where we operate—Jigawa, Kaduna, Kebbi Niger, Sokoto, Yobe, and Zamfara—our teams completed similar Ramadan gift distributions, receiving heartfelt appreciation from state health agencies and partners. Their messages of gratitude reaffirm the strong collaboration between New Incentives–All Babies Are Equal and key stakeholders in advancing routine immunization efforts.
As an organization committed to supporting communities, we are honored to share in the spirit of Ramadan by extending this small gesture of goodwill. We remain dedicated to strengthening partnerships and ensuring that every child has access to life-saving vaccines.
Ramadan Mubarak to all our partners, health workers, and caregivers who continue to make a difference in children’s lives.
