In January 2023, the All Babies program expanded into Kano. The program is active in over 1,250 clinics across the state’s 44 LGAs. It is a privilege to partner with Kano State in order to incentivize and promote childhood vaccinations. So far, over 515,000 babies from Kano have been enrolled in the program.
In 2023, NI-ABAE began holding State and LGA Award ceremonies in appreciation of our partners' achievements in increasing childhood immunization rates and saving lives. In June 2024, NI-ABAE staff and stakeholders, including the Director General of the State Primary Health Care Board and the Commissioner of the Ministry of Health, gathered in The Afficent Event Center, Nassarawa, Kano, to present ₦150,000 awards in five categories to Kano’s highest-performing LGAs:
In addition, this year’s Best NI-ABAE Manager Award was presented to Kamilu Ahmed Musa for his ability to maximize his team’s potential to support the efforts of the LGA.
We look forward to hosting this State and LGA award event annually and fostering healthy competition as we work toward increasing vaccination rates and reducing zero-dose children in Kano State.
